AJ307CENT origin

I've just traded a guitar of mine for an Ibanez Artwood AJ307CENT 7 string acoustic. I always thought they were made in Korea, but this one was Made In Japan inside it. Any Ideas?

Mine says 'made in korea' on the back of the HS. Considdering all of the problems I had with mine before the pro setup, I'd be very surprized if it was a MIJ axe.

The only things in the sound hole for mine are the serial number, "artwood hand crafted ibanez guitar", and "AJ 307 CE NT"

Mine doesn't have anything on it that identifies its country of origin... i had always assumed it was MIJ, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to learn it was Korean. I doubt they would have shifted production from Japan to Korea midway through its short life span, so i guess the "Made in Korea" sticker was removed from mine.

This one was MIJ [I'm pretty sure] with a serial sticker on the back of the head.

Yeah, as far as I know the AF 207 was made in Japan.

BSBoy, what is the guitar serial number? (or, what year was it built?). Mine was built in 99.

Re: AJ307CENT origin

Hello everybody. I notice you all talking aobut a guitar that I REALLY want. I created an account on this site entirely just to talk to people who own and hopefully want to sell a decent 7 string acoustic guitar.

Please get back to me with any questions, offers, tips, or comments

haha, well first and foremost, let me welcome you to jemsite, blister! This thread is actually from 2004, you can take a peek at the classified ads, those would probably be your best bet.

Re: AJ307CENT origin

just make a "want to buy", or "WTB" ad in the classified section. get a few posts though so the guy can get to know you first. im sure they dont go for very much.

and from what i know, the only production 7 string acoustics were this AJ307 (i REALLY want one too but have no money) and a dean. and nobody wants a dean hahaha
