The all new J-Customs are... not all RGs...

Hi all,

This may be old news (someone please let me know if it is), but just in case...

I took a look at the Ibanez Japan site today, looked at the J-Customs and found... a little bit more than I was expecting to see!

RG8527Z, 7-string J-Custom:

S8570, S Series J-Custom:

And finally, FR8620, FR Series J-Custom:

It is old news alright (check out the search function, it really works!), but those guitars are still sweet looking.

If I had the cash, I'd buy that S8570 in a heartbeat.

Re: The all new J-Customs are... not all RGs...

I'm waiting to see an RGA J custom!
I'm guessing next year hopefully, but i think when it hits it will be THE TOP DOG !

It has (IMO) the best of both the S and RG line + those sweet cut a ways and lower the horn mod. I would love to see a reverse headstock (like Chris Broderick's),full pearloid bindings, vine inlay,Dimarzio's in Trans white over flame and Predators tounge over flame.

I'm holding on to my cash till then.

Old news, but definitely GOOD news. I've been drooling over the FR JCs since I saw them, BEAUTIFUL guitars.

I'm glad we now have the option of a J custom with the ZR trem I personally prefer it over the edge zero.

Ruin is a little strong, but i do agree that they should be deleted like the SV range!
Just looks cleaner with flame tops, and nicer to play IMO.
Love to see some real MOP/Abalone shark teeth on these S's too!
Ooo in RS finish,lol......I can only dream.

agreed the fr is hands down my favorite. look under France on the ibanez country choicer and they get a sweet natural stained one that is perfect! i'm not huge on the floral patterns.

Re: The all new J-Customs are... not all RGs...

I have to disagree about the FR8620. IMO the upper front wing is too large and gives the guitar an unbalanced look. If the selector switch was put up there it might look better, but probably not. I'm still a big fan of the 70s-mid 80s Artist Models and have three of them. The new Artist AR 3000RE Prestige looks cool. It would be great if Ibanez could bring one out with an Edge Pro trem.
