The new ones ARE Maverick guitars which could only mean one thing - Made in Korea.
Now that's not a bad thing of the guitars were $300-$400 but they are not.

I'd go the old traditional route and considder RG for that money because $500 will buy you a RG1570 with better trem and better build quality.
Another thing to consider would be a Japanese Jackson DK2.

Hi - sorry for asking, but what are mavericks?
I just like the layout of the streetfighter - i have already a rg550, just looking for something with the streetfighter's specs.

thanks

The head stock on the Mavericks and the Angelos are vile IMO.

Either that or they buy them from whatever factory makes them for Maverick.
The headstock does look strange but that is a personal preference - what I'm saying is that RG321 (or 320 if you are looking at the trem models) was probably made in the same factory, by the same people, passed the same QC, yet costs $140 less and has a better resale value - so just makes no sence bying Angelo.

Your mileage will vary.

I must agree that they look incredibly like Maverick headstocks. And Streetfighter is a Maverick model.

I'm very interested to see their JEM10copies the SV-6B

Well their production pics of the Jem10th copy and the 7VWH copy are pretty good. They are the best copy I have seen. But yeah, no doubt they are defenitely Maverick models. I dunno though, I am always a bit sceptical of anything with a name I am not familiar with!
