Another one converted.. 56k Stay Away

Well since I have been doing fairly well lately. I decided I mys well make a relic for myself.. I personally like a very light relic, some wear here and there and just aged.. Not beat to crap like most of the ones I have been getting requests for..

Anyways I got a set of Fender Vintage Noiseless in route and then she will be ready to go.. Nevermind the house its a disaster.. Having 2 big dogs is a real chore but I wouldnt have it any other way.. There favorite chew toys are bottles.. Cheap toys too.. LOL

Heres some pics..

thanks for the kind words guys.. I really love doing this stuff.. Its a great stress reliever for me.. And you learn a new trick or technique every time..

I love this color, and the wood is beautiful, I will have to take some outside pics when its done so you can see the true color of it.

Yes nice color... very Sienna Sunburst...lookin good!

Body and neck both satin finished? Thats not a highway 1 neck is it? I dunno, the silver dots suggest otherwise. Anyhow, good work brett.

Re: Another one converted.. 56k Stay Away

The body and neck is from a stock Squier solid alder model.. Its the best they offer. The color is sorta Gibson-ish cherry sunburst but not as yellow in the middle section more of a orange-ish color..

The fender vintage Noiseless pickups will be here tuesday.. I will install them and take some proper pics of it wednesday when I get home from work..

The color is not properly represeneted in those pics.. Its beautiful..

The neck and body are both satin.. They were high gloss when it was original, If you use 0000 ga steel wool, you can dull the finish from gloss to satin.

The neck was sanded down to bare wood, ambered, reliced, new waterslide and then I shot it with Nitro and again buffed the gloss down to a satin..
