It sounds amazing with out being plugged in.... I am not a fan of the double whammy so i may be changing out the pickups.

Holy cool! I've never seen those before. The neck through is wicked. Thanks for the pics!

Re: Any other American Master owners still here?

Don`t compare these guitars to normal RGs.
The American Masters are extremly collectible, I searched a lot of years until I got both models (the black UCMA 2 and the red/yellow-burst UCMA3). There are only about 80 made, they are
- made in USA
- only a few (about 80) do exist
- made by RA Gresco
- the buyers had to wait 1 1/2 years until they got them
- they were the absolute top-of-the-line modells, the top of the u.s.a.-custom line (from the usa custom only the american masters, th USRG (by Dave Bunker) and the second UCEW were completly made in USA with USA-woods
- the construction with the neck was unique

They are so resonating because of real good woods and the special construction (neck layed into the body, so the neck has a lot of contact to the body).

Tha American Masters MA 2 and 3 are even compared to the other USA Customs the best sounding Ibanez I know. I really can compare the sounds because I do own one ore more of every Ibanez-USA-model (pic in the usa custom master thread, post # 123). You feel the luthier vibe.
If I should get in financial trouble one day, the American Masters and the JEM 777LG would be the last guitars to sell.

Re: Any other American Master owners still here?

You`re welcome.
I made some detail-pics in post #133 in Jesse´s great Usa Custom Master Thread.
There you can see the real interesting and unique neck-body-construction.
