Any PGM90HAM owner?

late to the thread... these are not white like the VWH. The pickups are plastic and to color compare is not possible. *There is no way a "white" would fade in 18 months barring a major production screw up. In short enjoy your guitar... glen

Any PGM90HAM owner?

I don't know the serial number right now. I'm at work. I do know there were 337 PGM90's made. The smallest run of the HAM90's. It really is a nice playing and nice looking guitar. I'm taken with the fixed bridge. It's nice to have a RG shaped guitar with a fixed bridge...

Greets all-

* *Well about your PGM yellowing a little I was recently having a discussion with a guy who works in a local music store in my area and I asked him why his store didn't order anymore PGMs. *He told everytime they would order them they would be yellowing and that they finally gave up because they didn't know why. *Sorry hope yours isn't to bad but I'm sure it's a shredmachine.

Glen hit the nail on the head. If ever one's PGM90 has the same "defect", I would venture a guess that it isn't caused from exposure. It seems that the plastics used for the "f" whole and binding were made by a diferent manufacturer than the plastic pickup covers. I wouldn't treat this as a defect and I certainly would NOT send the guitar back. From other owners here are saying, you will end up with another PGM90 with yellowed binding and F whole. Not to mention the long ars wait for the replacement.

Well
Actually, the "yellowing" is not as nad as the pic I posted
The pics are affected by the light or camera i think.

Today I brought my guitar out
and I found that the "yellowing" is not easliy notice when there is enough light

Maybe my bedroom doesn't have enough light~

(sorry for poor english)

I am very satisfy for using US$1421 for this guitar(including UPS shipping...from US to HK....cost a lot)

They are nice, nice guitars!! Yes, the lighting can effect the way they look. I noticed that with mine too. Man, I do love this guitar...

Are the f-holes plastic inlay or appliqť, or are they painted on before the clearcoat?

I still think the clearcoat probably has a bit of a yellow tint to it. Remember that the f-holes binding on the body are likely under clearcoat, whereas the binding on the neck is not. How does the head binding look compared to the neck binding?

Glen's also right, though... the exposed white plastic knobs and pickup covers/bobbins are a different kind of plastic and are going to react in their own way to light and aging than the other parts of the guitar.

It's still a purty beast, though!

Darren,
The neck and headstock binding are bright white. I agree with your asumption that the clearcoat was not totally clear...
