Any RG series like a PGM?

I want a fixed bridge model like the RG321, but with a single coil pickup in the middle. I'd love the PGM, but they are either expensive (worth it I am sure) or difficult to find used.

I want H S H on a fixed bridge Ibanez RG style guitar.

Am I up a creek?

Your best (cheapest) bet is to get a HH hardtail model, then have it routed for a middle single coil. --Jason

Re: Any RG series like a PGM?

I have 2 RG 470 FX. They are both H-S-H with a Fixed bridge and they are way cool. I guess they were only made in 94 and 95 (I have one from each year). Wizard II neck and INF pickups, I believe. Got em on evilbay for a steal and within about a month of each other. Haven't seen any out there since, and it's been over a year and a half.

How about a used RG550 or 350 with a Tremol-No fitted (in fixed mode) to emulate a fixed bridge but also give the option to use the whammy if needed? Or are you 100% set on getting a fixed bridge guitar?

Re: Any RG series like a PGM?

Not 100%, but it would be nice. The PGM is not going to happen unless lady luck puts out major. I just bought a RG7321 and I am teetering on selling it. The neck is awesome, but the 7th string keeps throwing me. I just got a new teacher and I want to practice and not dink around anymore. I am 30 and pissed that I have made little progress in the last 10 years.

Really pissed at myself. Damn college!

I am also looking at the RG5 and the maple topped blud GC special RG4something (both Indo models ranging from $4-450). It is hard to get better than the Korean model at my local GC witout getting the Jem. I mean. They never stock anything in between and I do not plan to special order without trying before buying.
