Any significance to S/N ending in "001"?

I'm about to sell an Ibanez whose S/N is F035001. I know this means it's a '90, but I'm not sure about the rest...if this makes it interesting to Ibanez guys, I want to let people know, but I also don't want to misrepresent the guitar.

BTW, one member of this board (thanks, guy) helped me nail down the model as a "540SFM"...I just bought the Blue Book to make sure, and it says that there's an "S 540 FM", but that has a H/S/H pickup config and the years are wrong; mine is S/S/H. To make matters worse, the original receipt says, "RG540 SFM". Which is correct? It's a transparent Blue Burst Sabre body w/ flame maple, S/S/H, Lo-Pro, oval abalone inlays w/ the "Custom Made" inlay on the 21st fret.

Thanks again, Rich...

...one more question, please. The Web site says that the S/N's starting with 'F' began in 1997. This one is a '90, and I bought it new in 1991, but the S/N also starts with an 'F'. Any ideas why?

Anyway, thanks again for the all the help.

Mike-
I believe the theS540 was HSS before it changed to HSH (not sure what year)...but certainly sounds like an S540FM, so the receipt was probably wrong. Nice guitar!

AFAIK, 'F' serial numbers started in 1987. What changed in 1997 was the significance of the numbers following the 'F', for the date made..
