Anyone else see this 770?

Anyone else see this rg770 on the bay?
320480588827

I saw it and found it rather odd. Did they really cut monkey grips into old 770s? It looks huge compared to a jem grip, or maybe thats just me. Also has a weird finish, reminds me of a dbk, but not in a good way...

Anyway, just wondering if anyone had seen this axe also, though it was ugly but kinda cool, especially with an edge, duncans, and only $199(could use for a project)!

That handle was most certainly not cut by the factory. Absolutely kills any value it may have had as far as I'm concerned.

By the way, I love how people cut a chunk of wood out of the body of a guitar and suddenly it's a Vai Custom.

I would pay that much, but no more, simply because I would use it for a project. Not that ugly body with whatever the hell that is they put on it, but the trem, pups and such would be good and you could save quite a bit than if you bought them all seperate. Plus you could part the neck and maybe the body if someone took a liking to it for some reason and make a little cash .

Anyway, i though it was funny how someone could cut a god-awful grip into that thing (I think I could do a better job with my bare hands and an old rusty saw) and someone somehow claimed that it was done by Ibanez and that was standard on that model. The stupid things some people believe.....

Awesome

People who give other people information, when knowing fully well that they have no proof that they know anything at all... Feeding people false information knowingly has got to be the dumbest thing ever...

hehehe seeing that monkey grip has almost put me off buying a jem. I think I will stick to collecting J and USA customs ...

Yep, that's a 770. They used drywall screws to hold the strap buttons on that year...

What a pitiful looking guitar...

Re: Anyone else see this 770?

Who needs a handle cut in a guitar body anyway? I don't even like the idea done by the Ibanez factory. That hack job looks hideous to me.
