AR320 Guitars: Anyone Know Anything About Them???

I saw an Ibanez AR320 listed used on GC and am curious if anyone knows anything about these compared to the AR325 guitars???

According to the serial number, it was made in 2013, but the 2013 USA Catalog doesn't list the AR320 (just the 420 and 325).

I saw a listing on Musician's Friend saying the product was discontinued.

https://www.musiciansfriend.com/guit...#productDetail

They seem to sell used for about $150 less than the AR325 models. But there don't seem to be that many available.

Were they only sold new in Japan and not in North America???

I have had my eye on a used AR325 selling locally for about $500 with gator case, but just wondering if the AR320 would disappoint me since it is almost $200 less (but no case).

Thanks.

Well, what I found out is that they are basically the same guitars as the AR 325 and AR420 guitars from 2013, except that their finish isn't quite as attractive as those of the 325 and 420 models.

My understanding is that they have Super 58 Custom pickups (alnico V instead of the Alnico III of the regular Su[er 58 pickups) and were sold exclusively through guitar center, so they don't appear in the regular catalog from Ibanez, but I could be wrong about both those things.

If I could find one in the violin burst, I might pick one up, even though I already bought a 2104 AR 325 with Bubinga top.

These guitars are thinner than I thought and are a little bit neck heavy. Not seriously neck heavy, but they have a three piece maple neck which is strong and, in my opinion, might help with sustain.

BTW: I hate the quick change tailpiece on these guitars.
