Bagged a Triple Nickel! :D

With the prices having gone up $400 on these Jan 31st, I decided now was the time. Grabbed this one today; she should be on the front porch next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Why's it called a 'Triple Nickel'?

The list price for a new one, which this one is, is just over 4K now, so I got a good deal on it.

The model # is H555, so they call it a triple nickel. It's based on the Gibson 355, which frankly isn't as good a guitar, despite being $5500+. These are all hand carved, no CNC use on these anywhere. The necks are done by guys with an average of 40 years experience.

I love Heritage guitars!!! They're like Gibson..... Just with higher standards and lower prices! Better building materials, quality control. Am I missing anything?

No, you got it. Other than that they're just like Gibsons.

You left out " 40 years of experience building Gibson necks" Gibson lost some long term employees when that company was formed.

Nice piece !!!

Re: Bagged a Triple Nickel! :D

Well, she's here! It's so insanely cold outside that I'm going to let it sit for an hour or two before opening the case and risking cracks from the temp changes. Nice case though

Re: Bagged a Triple Nickel! :D

Ok, so I have some pics. I guess you can tell by looking at the 555 and the FA-100 that a certain US company could easily have had me as a lifelong customer if they did better work Anyway....

The guitar is awsome, right out of the box. Beautiful to look at, easy as pie to play, and she sounds fantastic. It has Duncan Seth Lover humbuckers in it as a custom touch, as well as block inlays, and an upgraded bridge and tailpiece. The finish is also a custom color; sort of a wine red on the outside of the burst into orange. It is stunning in person.

A fuzzy/out of focus back shot, meant to show the flame in the three piece neck
