Which is better for the RG2570EX?

Hi guys,

Just wanted to hear your opinions on which tremolo system is best either on this guitar or overall-

the older models "Floyd Rose" licensed bridge (I dont know the name they called it- I think it might be the original Edge pro bridge that looks like more like a floyd rose.) OR

The new edge pro bridge (like found on the satch guitars + the rest)?

Cheers

Kev

The Edge Pro on your guitar is already on the "better" side of things. You may want to improve it by getting the locking studs (ibanez rules link above).

Changing it to the old Lo-pro or Edge trems will just be a hassle, in my opinion and for minimal difference.

I don't think there was an '02 2570EX since they only became Prestiges in '03. If you're sure it is a 2002, then you have what I have, a 570EX, with an Edge. Don't change the trem. There's no need.

The opinion varies on the board, the advantage of the old system was that it has locking studs. The new system has better other things (like flutter, for some people) but no locking studs, which could affect tuning stability and all that at some point in the future.
