Smile Bridge for an old RG470

Hi,

I have an old RG470 and I want to replace the horrible Lo-Trs Bridge (also because it's broken ) for a better one.

Do you know which brigde can I mount in my guitar without doing body modifications??

I have seen a Low Pro Edge for 230$ in a website. I think that is a good price but i don't know if it is a valid brigde for my RG470.

Thanks!!

Re: Bridge for and old RG470

FRPro is a direct fit. I have done that to my RG470.
Though I kinda regret it now... rather have gone with a Lo-Pro Edge. For look's sake, only.

Go with the original floyd rose made in germany. Can't go wrong.

Gotoh Floyd Rose, cheaper than the OFR, and probably better. Don't forget to install the locking studs too. Remove the old studs and anchors, drill bigger hole if necessary, and put in the new ones.

Re: Bridge for an old RG470

Thanks for your answers!

Well, the only direct fit is the original Floyd Rose... I did not mention it in my first post but I want repaint my guitar body so would be good try to replace my Trs for a Lo-Pro Edge ... Rich told me about this webpage (projectguitar.com/tut/trs2lopro) and it's seems easy to do.

I have to look for used Floyd Rose because I can't pay a new one

Thanks again!
