Buying Ibanez GRG7221

Am wounding if this is a good guitar for starting out? Am also wanting to tune it to C Standard tuning and what should I use for a High F.

Re: Buying Ibanez GRG7221

Well, it's about as low end as you can get. The pickups and electronics will be crap, as will the fretwork and probably the finish. It most likely wont hold tune very well either.

On the other side of the coin- trying it out for a while will give you the general idea of what it's like to play a 7-string. Any Ibanez 7-string you may buy in the future will be a large to massive step up in quality (and price....)

LOL... been there.

Are you looking at a used 7321 or a new 7420/21?

Am not completely sure I will know when I get to the guitar store. Then again she's just as bad as me with saxophone reeds.
