Buying a new guitar, help me pick one!

I've been looking for a jem for long time now and just can't seem to find one I want. So I've been thinking of various other models and brands. I need a guitar to play virtousostyle music on. (Already own an American Tele and a Les Paul Classic). In the used market, where I live, there is right a JPM P4, a PGM 100 and a Tom Anderson Drop Top availible. All three of them are priced pretty equally. Just wanted to check for opinions, especially about the Anderson. thank you.

I'm a big fan of the PGM, to be honest.

I'd grab that JPM P4 over the PGM100. Tom Anderson Drop Tops is great eye candy but the necks on them are a hit or miss for some people.

-Hit or miss!? How do you mean? I guess they are a little thicker than the average Rg/Jem neck are they not?
And what about buildquality. Andersons are all handmade, that should make them better than the Ibanezes, shouldn't it?

7vwh?

Well there is always a prestige RG or a RG 570 or something.

I just bought a used Carvin DC127 and would very highly recommend that. If I paid the new price of $700 or whatever for the guitar I would still feel I got a lot for the money. It's a very well made guitar and the price is about a third of what the competition charges for comprable models.

If it were me, I would get the Drop Top :-).If you can, you should play all of them. Since all three guitars are in your area, you should try all three. We all would voice out or opinions, but you make the ultimate decision.

I would probably go with Tom Anderson Drop Top if the specs are good to me. I don't know, they all are good!

Re: Buying a new guitar, help me pick one!

I will probably go with the Drop Top. Testing is tomorrow. Just too bad I really don't think any of them looks especially cool. The only floydrose equipped guitars that look cool to me are some of the Jems and Slash's Mockingbird - I guess I'm cursed or something, but the others don't look that rock n' roll to me. Anyways, I need a great guitar to practice and write (floyd)music on. thank you guys for your replies.
