Buzzing on my S320

It seems I get this sort of distorty buzzing sound (acoustically) on the attack when I play on my S320, especially when I play something hard. Any ideas what it can be? It doesn't appear to be the springs, that's the thing...

Frets might need dressing or a pickup may be wiggly

Re: Buzzing on my S320

Nah it's nothing to do with the frets, and when I hold the pickups it's no different. I'm thinking something to do with the bridge or back springs, or something between bridge and pickups.

It's only suddenly become a problem. The noise is something in the body and it's definitely something in the body vibrating.

I guess a technician will analyse and fix it when I pay to have new pickups installed and setup (which I shall be doing before recording or gigging with it).

Re: Buzzing on my S320

Does it buzz on any note or only certain notes or certain places on the fingerboard?

I had springs once that buzzed but only on an E not in the middle of my neck. Very weird haha

Re: Buzzing on my S320

Well the weird thing is it happens when the guitar is sat at a certain (i.e. normal) angle and when I use a pick and play something harder, especially a power chord for example.

Apparently it's something to do with the bridge itself, or something directly touching it, because when it stop it with my hand, it stops.

Re: Buzzing on my S320

I've seen a loose arm holder do that before. Have you looked at that?

Re: Buzzing on my S320

If it's the springs stuff some rubber tubing in them, sorts those issues out and helps with tone as well. You could also stuff the spring cavity with cotton wool, etc.

Re: Buzzing on my S320

maybe your arm holder broke and thatīs why it rattles, it is a common problem with zr bridges

Re: Buzzing on my S320

It *might* be the arm holder. The arm holder works but that black inner bit that clamps on seems to be sorta loose, but does it's job when the trem arm's in. Anyway I *think* I've fixed it for now.

The cotton wool/tissue in the rear cavity might be good in future though when it comes to recording.
