Can someome tell me what trem is on this Ibanez S540?

Hello..
I'm going to be the owner of this guitar as soon as I trade my guitar / send it off to trade. Anyway, I needed a guitar that was leight weight and this one he says tips the scales at 7lbs.. Can someone tell me what Ibanez trem was on this guitar model? He says it's a 1990 model. Someone stuck in an Ibanez Tone Zone, and since I'm a paul gilbert fan I decided to leave it.. I'm interested in body wood too? What is it? Mahogany, Bassowod, etc? Trem, what is it? Edige, Low Pro? Etc, will it stay in tune? He says it just says "Licensed under floyd rose patent on it"..

See guitar here!

congrats Tim!

that's a basswood body, and the trem is a Lo-Pro Edge.

The Sabre/S series guitars are mahogany.

So is it Mahogany or Basswood? Is the Low pro a good trem?

All right, now I'm confused.. I've always heard that the S Series was mahogany and that it was made to sustain well with leight weight in mind? Does it work? How good is the low pro edge trem or whatever it's called? Does it work just like a real floyd? I ask because I've never used one but I've used a lot of real floyds.. Can someone tell me or point me to some directions or an online manual of the Low pro ?

Thanks so much
Tim

Rich thanks.. Where can I find info on the Low Pro Edge?

Rich,

Thanks so much, and thanks to all about this guitar. Where can I find more info on the trem?

Why does my guitar say "Custom Built " or custom on the frets down around the 20th fret? Does that mean it was made in a custom shop or ?

Tim

You're in the biggest Ibanez site on the net, you should have a look around first.

http://jemsite.com/axes/htm_features/trems.htm

There's nothing "custom" about it.
