Can someone ID this?

Sorry if this is wrong thread... I've just seen this guitar up for sale and was wondering if anyone can confirm it is a RG1527 or if it is something else.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT - Serial is F981805 if that helps

Re: Can someone ID this?

It's not a 1527. It's either a 7620 or 7420. The 1527's Prestige Ibanez logo doesn't have the "swoosh" mark underneath, and the serial number indicates it was made in '98 which points to it being a 7620. Can't quite make out if the pickup "ear" routes are square or triangular which would help, but I reckon they look triangular which again points to a 7620... I think.

Re: Can someone ID this?

Cool, thanks heaps for the input.

I didn't think they made 7620's in that colour?

What are the main differences between a 1527, 7620 and 7420? Thanks.

:O Cool. Cheers jubs :P GL on winning the jem.

So its down to a 7620 or 1527. I'm pretty sure its 7620 now. Can anyone agree/disagree with this? Thanks.

Re: Can someone ID this?

Since the serial number indicates it was made in 1998 and they didn't introduce the RG1527 until 2004, it's a safe bet it's a 7620.

7420 has the TRS-7 trem while the 7620 has the Edge 7.

Re: Can someone ID this?

yup, I checked out the 1998 ibanez catalog and that guitar is a 7620. The only other 7-string available that year was the 7621 which is hardtail, and 1999 didn't offer royal blue so it isn't an early 1999 model
