Re: Was Carcass an Ibanez endorser back in the day?

Yes, sometime in the early 90's. Jeff Walker was in an Ibanez ad or catalog if I remember correctly. Also watch the Corporal Jigsore Quandary video, they're all using Ibanez's (or at least just Bill Steer and Michael Amott) I think one of them has a red/pink RG550. Now Steer and Walker use ESP and Amott has his own sig with Dean. One of my favorite bands! Was just listening to their Necroticism album an hour ago too!

Re: Was Carcass an Ibanez endorser back in the day?

A few years back, Michael Amott did and instore in Melbourne, someone asked about that particular RFR RG he used...apparently he gave it to his brother Chris who painted it black......Michael then went on to say he would love to get it back and restore it to its former glory because of all the memories it held for him!!! Very cool guy Michael Amott, was happy to help all the fans....very down to earth!!!

From memory Bill Steer used the S series and Michael was an RG man!!
Shame Ibanez never did a Carcass series of guitars though!

If someone has that particular Jeff Walker pic, id love to see it! Didnt he use a Jackson 5 string bass for a while?

Just wanted to contribute to the Carcass lovefest too.

I gotta say though, who paints an RFR black?!? The horror!

One guy in Korn took a Universe swirl (given to him by Ibanez) and covered it in black electrical tape early in their career. If ever there was a jailable offense for guitar defamation, that'd be it

When it comes to Korn, I think you could just as easily consider their playing guitar defamation

Gosh, Carcass is one of my favorites in Death metal, so intense yet melodic.

I belive that "No love lost" video features Billy and (mike hickey?) using Ibanez S540
