i'm a firm believer that most times you get what u pay for... there are exceptions, but very rarely. i wouldn't buy one of those things, i'd be worried about the grade of the wood... at that price it can't be very good wood, and i'm sure those pickups are nothing to call home about...

Yeah, it might be a a gamble, but modding everything would be a cool project, like changing the pickups, tuners, maybe the neck, I just think its kinda of good deal.

i think if i were going to buy a guitar to mod itd either be a RGT42 or RGT42FM... seeing as i already have a RGT42, a RGT42FM is the next logical one lol... what with its mahogony body and neck thru, and now they come with that edge pro 2 trem, not too shabby really

Actually, those guitars are VERY nice, for the money. I have an Agile LP Jr. double cutaway copy, from Rondo, and it's an excellent guitar. I won't get into the whole "as good as a Gibson" argument, that always comes up everytime Rondo is discussed, but, I'll tell you this- There isn't enough of a difference to warrant spending THAT much more on a Gibson. And I have owned Gibsons, in the past. I think that it comes to a point where you're paying for a name brand.

theres a big difference between paying for a name and paying 99 dollars for a guitar. when u pay for the name, u can also be guaranteed to get the quality, when you pay 99 dollars for a guitar, you never know what you get... doesn't matter if its gibson, ibanez, fender, PRS, etc, there is a reason their low end guitars prices are as low as they are.

I haven't heard many compliants from Rondo's custumors, but I hear your point. I can only speak from my own experience, and the many others who have shared similar ones. I have however heard many complaints about Gibson, and their price versus quality... If I pay upwards of 2, 0r 3 grand for a guitar, and it's not PERFECT, I'm going to bitch. If I pay a couple of hundred, however, I don't mind.

I know that my Agile is a very good guitar. It does indeed play every bit as nicely as any Gibson I've played, and I only payed $236 for it. I fully expected to have to replace parts, but it's great as is. Yes, even the P-90 sounds great.

Just my opinion.

I understand what you mean about Quality and Price, but I was talking about using these guitars as a modding guitar, because they are not very expensive, compared to the Squiers, they look better too.

i wouldn't buy a gibson personally lol... not my cup of tea, and i don't believe in paying for a name, which is also why i won't buy a JEM or a Universe, or a JS, because i know i can get the same quality out of a higher end RG if i just put a little bit of work into it...
