Re: Chibanez/Jackson, JS? and 1st Swirl
Ha, yeh the hardware is pretty shabby, but I love the trem it just never goes out of tune. Swirling advice? Test, test, test, which I couldn't be bothered to do as I couldn't suss out a way of cleaning the leftover paint without emptying, drying & refilling the dustbin each time. Paint was some little pot of enamel, filled a washed dustbin full of water, didn't use borax. Diluted paint slightly, pour on, give it a swirl, dip guitar in slowly, blow remaining paint to the sides with a hairdryer, before you pull guitar out. Leasons learnt - more paint needed, as it was running out by the time the guitar was completely submerged. Dip it slowly in one smooth motion or swirl will recover itself. Its got some water spots from drying, but then that’s why you pay for the experience of swirl masters like herc. Still good, fun enjoyed it, want to do another..
