Clapton Strat. Need Jemsiters opinions

Hi bros
The latest " guitar I must have" is a Clapton Strat ( must be white).
I am seriously considering ordering one, but b4 i do I would like opinions of Ibanez players, cause I consider myself one as well. These opinions can well differ from the very good reviews I have heard-read from others.
I have tried one in a shop but, in 10-15 minutes you cant quite asess the whole thing.
I did like how the "noiseless" pups squeled when the mid boost was on....
Your opinions would be appreciated.
thanks guys

I've had (3) different Clapton Strats (green, pewter and Blackie), and I loved them! If I didn't have my Custom Shop Strat, I'd probably still have one. Great neck, great tone...I like the new Noiseless pickups much better than the older Lace Sensors too. Overall, they're great guitars! I got my last one for under $800 on EBay.

I always thought the pewter ones were really classy, and different from the norm. The 7-UP green is nice, too.

Each to his own, i suppose!

Don't forget Brownie!
Fender should make the E.C. available in Tobacco Sunburst!
I'd buy one in a NY minute.

Keneally's main axe is a green one so one can't go wrong with that.
If someone's got one for sale, just lemme know!
I like the Noiseless pups, got one installed in my gtr in the neck position. Very nice lead tones.

Mike Keneally's green Strat is indeed a Clapton signature model, but it's been heavily modified with a custom pickguard, EMG pickups, and a 2-Tek string-through bridge. I wouldn't take his as an example of how your typical EC Strat sounds.

If I remember right, the tuners are Russian, I can't remember if I read that somewhere or was talking to Nordegg about it.........
But as Orange said, it's HEAVILY modified.

As of the Jauary NAMM show, Kenally still hast he Steinberger-designed LSR tuner on his green Clapton Strat. (At least that's what he said when I asked him if he was still using them!)

Thomas Nordegg is, like the rest of the MK entourage, one of the nicest
guys you'd ever want to talk with, when you can pin him down and not get in his way : ) He likes gear ?'s a LOT more than MK does......lol

Nope...talked to Keneally himself. At last year's NAMM show, he did a small show at the Dean Markley booth and popped a high "E". Ironically, nobody had an extra string or clippers on them! Well...nobody but me So, I had the immense pleasure of changing a string on the green Strat while he continued on with a borrowed Washburn. It was the first time I'd messed with the LSR's...cool tuners! I had a helluva time changing the string at first since the ball end was crammed in the trem block, so it was memorable

Anyway, I'd asked him if he still had the LSR's on this year after a performance at the Taylor booth. He said "Yup.".
