Cleaner/polish

I'm in the process of restoring my RG770. I have some pick scratches and scuff marks in the clear coat. What would you guys recommend to remove some of these marks? I have used the following products below on my car finish with great success, but worry about doing any damage to the guitars finish.

Re: Cleaner/polish

The 3M products are also very good -- Perfect It and Finesse It. One is a fine rubbing compound and the other is a polish, but I forget which is which. I've been very surprised at the marks that can be made to disappear with this stuff.

Re: Cleaner/polish

I use a product called Amberclens by Ambersil and have found it to be very effective in the past for all sorts of things. It's cheap and lasts for ages too. I've been using the same tin for about 5 years now.
