Colors suggestions for my guitar! Help!

i'd need some colors suggestions for my Hohner copy of a Steinberger (the square-shaped body one). now it's black w/black H/S/S pickups, black neck and rosewood fretboard.
i'm planning to get rid of that boring black paint, and give some life to the guitar, so i'm going to have it repainted, then throw away that too-sophisticated circuitry and replacing it with just a couple Fast Tracks w/3-way toggle and 1 volume knob only.

now, considering that i prefer vivid colors, what colour would you repaint the guitar? and what color would you choose for the pickups? i'd like to get a very eye-catching body/pickups color combo (ex: orange body w/purple pickups, or blue body w/red pickups etc.)

i have too many ideas running in my head, but i cant decide! help!

thanx in advance!
nuno

ps: btw, what color for the ClipLock too?

Are you painting a solid color, or will there be flamed or quilted maple involved?

I always liked the "Emerald green guitar - meets - white pup/electronics" look.

Since it's such a small body, I'd go with the DuPont flip-flop paint... the one that's blue/green/purple. Would look great, even with the painted black back of the neck kept black.

revsharp777,
i'd rather solid colors, very vivid colors, even neon colors, why not. i'm not very into flamed, quilted maple or sunburst kind of finish. i have no middle ways: bare wood la Nuno or solid vivid colors.
anyway, thanks guys for your suggestions! they're both very interesting!

anyone else?

I like White guitars with red pickups. (black pickups would work well.)

But as bright colours go I would use a REALLY bright green with blue pinstripes and red pickups

Since it's such a small body, you need something really obnoxious.

I say a puke green.

Metalflake.
