Hi Patrick,

Please post some pics of them when you are finished. I want to drool some more over your work ;-)

Now my ultimate want would be the blue/white/black swirl UV that Steve Vai got. Any day now that i get my custom made UV by MGS...

Cheers, Sam

Re: CONFESS Your addiction, yep you need "just" another guitar!

I'm trying to thin the collection down, but impulse purchases are the bane of my guitar playing existence... the most I've owned at once was 16. I'm about out of my ESP phase now, Kramers are my new love:

ESP Horizon NTII
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Epiphone Zakk Wylde
Fender John 5
Fender Standard Stratocaster
Ibanez JEM7V
Ibanez JEM555
Ibanez RG7321
Kramer 1985 Baretta
Kramer Jersey Star
Kramer Baretta Bass
Kramer Voyager

I also have an RG321 getting customised by SCS at the moment.

Re: CONFESS Your addiction, yep you need "just" another guitar!

I always thought I'd be happy with one really good guitar. Now I have a few "really good" guitars, a few okay guitars, and a couple of crappers. I could sure use another really good one though

My wife bought me a nice Fender Strat 50th Anniversary book full of Strat porn last week. I want them all.

Re: CONFESS Your addiction, yep you need "just" another guitar!

I'm in the same boat.
I thought Ok, now I've got my 2027, I'm set, itll do everything I will ever need.
Yeah, right...
New neck is coming for it, I wanted it scalloped, so it'll play even nicer.
Then even more recently, I discovered a new tone monster.
My Drummer's 40th anniversary strat; swamp ash, maple neck, lace Pups, sperzel locking tuners with a strat style floyd rose trem.

It takes some getting used to on the frets and positioning initially, but the tone is damn nice with the lace sensors.
So now, I'm sitting wondering, do I build one, buy a ready built Fender, or maybe the Comanche I've been eyeing for so long.

Even more recently, when I saw the TC G-system for sale in the classifieds here, I started digging to find more about it.
I'm selling off a bunch of stuff just so I can buy that.

I am noticing that my taste in guitars has matured somewhat. I lean toward natural wood finishes above paint anymore, and of course now the guitars are more expensive, and now the G-system. Of course I dropped almost a G note on my ART SGE Mach II when it was new, so that hasn't changed much.

I'm so GASSY

Strats I'm leaning toward are if I do it myself: Either a Koa body, ebony neck, no inlays and probably scalloped to boot. Or I've seen licensed bodies on E -bay that are sunburst quilt tops. Maye one of those with a nice birds eye maple neck, again scalloped with Lace sensors. I don't want a floy trem, just a standard or maybe upgraded strat trem.

The other eye-candy I've been drooling over: Ibanez Prestiges, The puzzle RG20062 guitars and RG200061 ash body, chocolate finish, neck through and oh so sexy.

Too much...too much...to mUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH ! ! ! ! !

Re: CONFESS Your addiction, yep you need "just" another guitar!

Right now I have too much stuff, every so often I try to thin down the herd, but (I Guess) lucky for me, my wife has a strict rule that any money I get from selling gear must go back into future gear purchases. Since letting go of my EJ Strat, I would like to replace it with another strat, and a 52 RI Tele always makes me happy "downstairs", every now and then I think I need a 7 string, so maybe one of those S7320s will find it's way to me if it's ever available stateside.

Slashrox - I very nearly bought a 1984, but went with the Baretta instead. Though it looks very basic compared to say, a JEM, it is easily the nicest playing guitar I have owned.

Re: CONFESS Your addiction, yep you need "just" another guitar!

i was up to 27 guitars a year ago and have dropped down to around 15 now.
i still have the desire for new guitars like women do for shoes
i could easily buy or have built a new guitar per week if i had the finances. i can see myself sitting in the middle of a room with 150 guitars in 10 years. my addiction is BAAAAD but it is my life - most of what makes me ME and makes me happy. i just stand in my guitar room and look around and it is very comforting that i can pick up any guitar in the room and play it whenever i want.
almost everything in my life revolves around guitars and music. i guess that at least quantifies having lots of guitars and gear. i teach professionally for my main income and play in a band 5-10 times a month.

I'm after some kind of versatile Tele, hope I can find one; peavey's generation leads the way at the moment.
