Re: CONFESS Your addiction, yep you need "just" another guitar!
I'm in the same boat.
I thought Ok, now I've got my 2027, I'm set, itll do everything I will ever need.
New neck is coming for it, I wanted it scalloped, so it'll play even nicer.
Then even more recently, I discovered a new tone monster.
My Drummer's 40th anniversary strat; swamp ash, maple neck, lace Pups, sperzel locking tuners with a strat style floyd rose trem.
It takes some getting used to on the frets and positioning initially, but the tone is damn nice with the lace sensors.
So now, I'm sitting wondering, do I build one, buy a ready built Fender, or maybe the Comanche I've been eyeing for so long.
Even more recently, when I saw the TC G-system for sale in the classifieds here, I started digging to find more about it.
I'm selling off a bunch of stuff just so I can buy that.
I am noticing that my taste in guitars has matured somewhat. I lean toward natural wood finishes above paint anymore, and of course now the guitars are more expensive, and now the G-system. Of course I dropped almost a G note on my ART SGE Mach II when it was new, so that hasn't changed much.
I'm so GASSY
Strats I'm leaning toward are if I do it myself: Either a Koa body, ebony neck, no inlays and probably scalloped to boot. Or I've seen licensed bodies on E -bay that are sunburst quilt tops. Maye one of those with a nice birds eye maple neck, again scalloped with Lace sensors. I don't want a floy trem, just a standard or maybe upgraded strat trem.
The other eye-candy I've been drooling over: Ibanez Prestiges, The puzzle RG20062 guitars and RG200061 ash body, chocolate finish, neck through and oh so sexy.
Too much...too much...to mUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH ! ! ! ! !
