Cool Paint Job on a G & L

just thought i'd share some pics of this cool paint job. it is hard to photograph indoors. i'll have to take it outside and get some better pics. it is a G & L Climax XL made in '96 or '97 (#G036237) w/ a floyd trem, alder body, one piece maple neck, black abalone dots and JB/'59 combo pups. it is sweet - but i am starting to get GAS again for a 7VWH and she might be sacrificed to the Jem GAS Gods before too long. time will tell... she is an extremely well made axe and i could find it very hard to part w/ her - we'll see how bad the GAS gets! enjoy!

That looks stunning - I want one!

Interesting control layout - do you find it easy to use?

i have gotten use to the layout of the controls. you can feel the "quality" of the guitar when you turn the controls and they smoothly roll from one side to the other like silk. SWEET!
i think G & L was going for a Tele/Jackson kinda vibe using a one piece maple neck and Tele style tuners (not my personal preference) for the Tele vibe and two humbuckers w/ a locking Floyd Rose and cool paint job to match for the Jackson vibe.
it is very nice - i have a guy offering me $550 for it but i am finding it hard to seriously part with it as i haven't seen another that sounds or plays like this one.
we'll see how bad the Jem GAS gets and what the new '05 Jem has to offer in looks and features.
i'm glad i am getting to share my affection for this guitar w/ others that can enjoy it vicariously w/ me!
