Well, the last of the 3 customs that were in the works is out. This was the less expensive project but ir turned out very well, or at least I like it a lot. Its based on a formerly blue RT650
The mods include:
Stripping the body and adding a vavona root burl veneer on body and headstock with a translucent red finish.
Figured cocobolo pickguard (sadly the figure doesnt show in the pics since the made the red too deep because the pickguard broke and they repainted it adding more red than was originally intended)
Figured cocobolo trem cover.
New black binding (on the body).
Refinishing of the neck (replacong the yellowish clear with a regular finish and then sanding it to a mate finish).
Added string pullers
DiMarzio Super Distortion
Fender american standard
DiMarzio Paf Pro
All painted in a matching red colour.
With this guitar I designed 5 customs that were build by a couple of great mexican Luthiers, that became very good friends during the process, so im not only glad about the guitars, but also because I met very talented people that are now very good friends.
Here are the pics:
Hope you like it!!!!!
