Red face DC06 project.... Canceled

Hi again...

this project is a Ibanez RG style body with a vine inlay on neck and a swirl finish:

specifications DC06:

- Body: basswood or alder with a black binding.
- Neck: maple AANJ. reverse headstock. birdeye maple fingerboard.
- inlays: vine inlays, green neon leaves with black stem.
- Bridge: Gotoh fixed.
- Tuners: Gotoh.
- Pickups: green dimarzios (Mo Joe/Paf Pro/ Evolution neck), mounted on a clear pickguard.
- hardware: Black.
- Finished: Swirl (neon pink, neon green, yellow, black).

I bought all parts, woods, tools, and i began to build the body.

this is the first body that i began. may be that i will do some little mistakes, but sure that they will be fixed.

here my other projects:

DC01 'Jem Woods': DC01 (this guitar is finished).
DC02 'Jem Intense Rock II': DC02 (this guitar is finished).
DC03 'Jem Fresno': DC03 (this guitar is finished).
DC04 'PGM Black': DC04 (isn't finished).
DC05 'RG custom Quilted': DC05 (isn't finished).
DC06 'RG Swirl': this thread. (canceled).
DC07 'Jem Spanish Swirl': future project (of course, I reserved the number '07' for a Jem )
DC08 'JCR Custom Ghostrider #1': DC08 (this guitar is finished).
DC09 'JCR Custom Ghostrider #2': DC09 (this guitar is finished).

uhmmm.... many threads... i think that you will bore.

edit2:

Re: DC06. building a 'RG or PGM Green'.

this is my first body that i began...

i drew the shape, i made the pickups, control and jack cavities, i made the neck pocket, i cut with my jigsaw, and i make the contour with the ruouter (just like my DC04 project):

the body still needs a lot of sandpaper on contour. and olso on areas which the hands rests and also on the back of the body. just for making it more confortable.
also you can see a knot on body that the luthier will remove and fill with wood (i can't do that) and it will not be a problem.

regards.

Re: DC06. building a 'RG or PGM Green'.

The top photo are files and rasps - files have serrations, rasps are the really coarse ones with "teeth"

The bottom ones - yep, you got it - sandpaper!
