Hi Ed. Welcome up here. You chose well, I reckon. The 3120 is a good guitar, but unfortunately I didn't get the best example and I never "bonded" with it. In my opinion, the RGT is the better axe. Good luck, hope you enjoy it!

I have both... an RG3120DR and an RGT3120TV. The RGT is slightly smoother sounding. The RG is a little more aggressive sounding. I love the tone of BOTH (wouldn't sell either).

Got the axe Monday! The thing is awesome. When I opened the case, I was stunned at how new it looked. Not a scratch. What a killer deal. Took me awhile to do a setup and intonation, but all is well now! I do like the pickups in it for the most part...but I am contemplating puting a higher output dimarzio in the bridge instead of the PAF PRO that is in there? What do you guys think?
