Re: Designing your own Custom guitar - What would you have?

I would have a tele style body, mahogany back ,maple top. I'd want it cut thin to make it light. Maple unpainted neck, rosewood fretboard. One would be a bound sunburst model with an SD hot rails in the bridge, stock lipstick tube in the neck. Another would be vintage cream with an SD little '59 pup in the bridge.

Re: Designing your own Custom guitar - What would you have?

Jem shaped body made from basswood, with a monkey grip, but routed for Fender style vibrato (1088 with steel block), and H-S-S pickup configuration. Swirled with the colors of my choice. Birds eye maple neck with pyramid inlays, and matching headstock swirl. Buzz Feiten tuning system. Probably Dimarzios, but i'm not that picky, just something loud and clear

OK. here we go.
A UV7PWH with an AANJ. Still love my non-AANJ PWH though.

Re: Designing your own Custom guitar

I assume my goal is to make a guitar to replace all others with this....

I'm seriously happy enough with my Jem7vwh....

Re: Designing your own Custom guitar - What would you have?

1 would be a white Jem style with a deeper bottom cutaway and a thicker body, with Evos and no middle pickup. with a lo pro edge with the tremelno unit, ebony board 24 frets last 4 scallopped and a piezo system in the lo pro. The body would be basswood and the neck would be birdseye maple with no finish on it totally raw. vine inlays.

The other guitar would be a Universe with EMG 81-7s and a lo pro edge and the tremelno unit as well and with pizos and a deeper cutaway. the EMGs will have 2 9 volts for extra headroom. and the piezo will have its own. The body will be mahogany and the neck birdseye maple raw like the Jem and a ebony board. with 24 dunlop 6100 frets. last 4 frets scallopped. no inlays.

Re: Designing your own Custom guitar - What would you have?

My choice is:
6 strings
Peroba Rosa body (brazilian redwood)
RGA style (RG carved top)
deep carved rear body to fit MY body
Reversed headstock (PGM)
Monkey grip
Brazilian Mahog neck
Brazilian PauFerro fretboard
25 (25) jumbo frets
Full scallop
Off center real abalone dots
white binding on neck, headstock and body
neck-through or set neck
supernice maple top and matching headstock
fixed black bridge
2 Evo's (HH)
5 way megaswitch

Here are some pics of the unfinished project.

There's more of it:

Now, i need to choose the translucent color.
I have those opitions to choose from:

Of course the headstock gonna be matching burst like the body!
The NEON PINK i have is great!
My wife want's in deep blue, like the last one pictured.
Can someone tell me the better choice?

8 string Conklin

Bareknuckle pickups (warpig and nailbomb)

Ebony Fretboard

Maple neck

something similar to that really cool melted wood look that Rusty Cooley has on his 8 string conklin

Yeah, Cream is nice too. You know, I really like the blue one at the bottom too.
Very Nice.

Re: Designing your own Custom guitar - What would you have?

I would like a high end saber 7 string. Im thinking a 1997 S540FM and mahogany style body.
24 fret neck too with AANJ and an Lo Pro Edge. Pickups, Im very content on DiMarzio blaze' so they would suit.
