Re: Destroyer, anyone?

Wish they would re-issue the Destroyer model used on early Van Halen recordings, those sell for top dollar on shebay. I was never much a fan of this later model but this re-issue does have awesome pickups!!! I guess since that earlier model was almost an exact clone of the Gibson Explorer, (some say better quality, but I don't remember that being true), it would never make it to the U.S. anyway. Oh well, could always spend $4,000 on a Navigator by ESP,.. Not!

Re: Destroyer, anyone?

THAT'S the Destroyer they should have released a few years back, not that ugly grey thing they sold here in the US.
I'm not too keen on the Tone Zone on this but haven't heard it personally. I think it should have Super Distortions, PAF Pros or 36th Anniversary PAF's. Just my opinion.
It's gorgeous all the same.

They never will--it was one of the lawsuit guitars based off the korina Explorer.

Yes, this exactly as well!
The Tone Zone IMO seems like it would be a bit too bassy and *modern* for a Destroyer. I guess a modernized classic has its appeal too though.

A Super 70 reissue pickup would be awesome
