do you think a dimebucker or bill lawrence xl500 would go good in the RGT42DXFMTLF the pickups are basically same thing so testing either one is fine

Re: dimebucker

They really aren't the same thing. The dimebucker is a great pickup as well as the xl500, but they definitely have a different sound compared to each other. Although the dimebucker was based on the xl500, the dimebucker is a searing, razor-edged bridge pickup while the bill lawrence isn't as hot, heavy or as clear sounding. I have the dimebucker in the bridge and the xl500 in the neck of one of my axes and they work well together. When I first installed them, i had them switched around and i wasn't please with the xl500 in the bridge. before i continue, where are you planning to install the new pickup?
