Direct Replacement Locking Tuners or RG 550?

Will these pop right in my lefty 1990 MIJ 550?

Umm.....why do you need locking tuners if you've got a 550? You have a lock nut, which should be more than sufficient.

Sorry - should have mentioned I'm blocking, filling cavity, making it a hardtail with gotoh bridge like Pauls custom. I have one with Lock nut too

So --- will they fit?

In my experience, the Gotoh Magnum lockers like the ones you link to have always been a direct, no drilling replacement for the original Gotohs and Ibanez labeled Gotoh-copy tuners on Iby guitars. Sperzels, on the other hand, require a slightly larger tuner hole as well as drilling a new hole for the tuner pin.
