I always kind of liked Lita Fords steam engine guitar, or Michael Anthony's JD bass.

Hmmm...North Carolina plates...tells ya somethin' about the South, don't it? *
Would you be obligated to play Nitro's "Machine Gun" with that? *"Janie's Got A Gun"? *"For Those About To Rock"(ending)? * "Shoot It" from DLR?

Note: *Kane Roberts rocked! *Stallone with chops.

You could get to play that intro from Metallica's "One" really easy... just aim upwards...

Ahem... what are you saying about people from the South? *Remember Kevan, I'll be seeing you at Jemfest! *Don't mess with me because I got Bob to hide behind! *

I think this guitar would look good with ER's collection of guns. *Just need to find some nasty chick to pose. *What's the deal with the automatic weapons in his photos anyway?

North Carolina and Texas are WORLDS apart. *:-) *By "south" I meant those places where "Dueling Banjo's" is the top song on the AM radio, kids with 4 toes that eat applesauce through a straw...that sort of thing. *TX is a bit different; you guys have call-waiting.

Get past Bob? *I guess I'll have to bring my ladder....and a taser. *LOL

Actually, I think Roman does have or has had a similar guitar, but I think it was modelled after a M60, not the M16.

hey used to have it in the office window at ECMM.

Extra strings in the clip?
His amp was probably designed to look like a coondog pen.

Ok Ok Ok! *Everyone can relax...

My main point of reference is a book called "Appalacian Portraits". *It's probably the most disturbing book I've read/seen in my life (I'll show you folks the "library" here sometime). *A former co-worker purchased the book new, and we all had Jaw Drop Syndrome on our lunch breaks while looking at/reading the book. *I don't remember it all verbatim, but here's a basic summary....

The author was a native to the mountainous terrain, but had left the "schools" there and gone on to the "big city" to go to college, where he/she graduated. *As their first project after school, he/she did a photo montage with descriptions of the everyday life of the people he/she called "family". *

If a picture is worth a thousand words, this book was longer than War & Peace and The Illiad combined.....and harder to understand and fully grasp. *It was a "coffee-table book" of about 50 pages, but inside were pictures that would make your insides twist like Chubby Checker circa 1958. *It was horrific, yet amazing at the same time. *Far too many words are necessary for me to remotely describe it.

It's a completely different world...yes-WORLD...than where you and I live, but it's really only a few miles away. *I'm sitting here shaking my head...feeling bad that my cunning lingual skills aren't enough to get my message across. *How about: *It makes "Deliverance" look like Mr. Rogers Neighboorhood...?

I did a few searches during this post to find a link to the book, but to no avail. *It's so twisted, they could have stopped printing it.

I like North Carolina. *Beech Mtn. has some good skiing....considering it's NC and all. :-)*

Hehe, dueling banjos.
I went to school in the Appalachian Mountains and my College had the National Championship Clogging Team. *(no kidding)
There's definately some wierd stuff that goes on up there and the gene pool seems pretty shallow :P
But, I must say there are some talented musicians playing country/bluegrass. *I don't enjoy the music much myself, but the players have some chops.
What else are you going to do when you have no running water?
Tom will kill me for saying this, but he took lessons from a bluegrass instructor...
Sorry Tom

It was a total accident, I swear!
I signed up for Classical and I put in the wrong course code number and ended up with a bluegrass teacher. *I didnt realize it until after a few lessons.
On the lighter side, after a few weeks of him going over some basics, I brought in Pull Me Under and played along with it and when I was done he asked me why I was even taking lessons from him.
Pretty funny.
