Does anybody know about the ESP M-307 7-string???????

Hello all,
I've been seriously debating on buying an ESP. Since Ibanez is not making a new UV for 2K4, I'd really like to have an ESP. I was looking at the SC-607 in 2-tone burst, but would settle for an M-307. However, I can't find specs or good pictures of this guitar. If anybody knows ANYTHING AT ALL about these guitars, please send an email to [email protected]. Oh yeah, the new official Overfiend site is now at the following address; http://www.overfiend.net. Check it out! Thanks a million again. Josh

What do you want to know about it?
I had one. Excellent guitar. Just replace the pickups and it's good to go.

it's just an LTD, but all themetal bands swear by those things the guys in chimaira use them as well as their custom shop esp's. They go for a good chunk used too which kinda sucks. The thing I like is they aren't a signature model so you don't have to pay the extra cash to put money in the artists pocket.

I was just wanting to know like nut width, and really some good pics of em. I've just aquired an M-107, and am gonna drop my new (EMG) 707's in this instaed. The neck is about as thin as the RG7's, and it's got the fixed bridge, so snapping a string won't be a big deal now. If anyone knows how to post pics on here, I'll post em to show the progress. I've already painted a white stripe on the body and headstock, giving it the Dino Cazarez look, so now it's just the pickups. Got to go, be back on soon.

the 300 model's are a lot better.. it's the overall feel when I pickup a 50 or 100 it feels like the neck is huge and shaped like a brick. the higher series are smooth and feel great in your hand. Plus they use better materials ESP usually uses agathis and basswood on lower models, and mahogany on the higher ones. Not to mention most of their guitars are bolt on for 50/100 and neck thru for 200/300/400.

Even though my 107 IS a bolt-on, I'd say it's got the same feel as the Ibanez Wizard 7 necks. It's kinda bad, I'm starting to like the ESP more than my UV! At least maybe now I can retire the thing, make it my house guitar. It's been around the block quite a few times in 13 years. The ESP is a little lighter than my Ibanez, too. It sounds pretty good, for $150 (USED). Well, it actually didn't cost me a dime, I traded in my old Hughes & Kettner Triamp 412 cab for it, and the guy gave me an even trade for it. Nothing like free new gear, huh? Now I've gotta quit spending money on gear, and get a new truck. If anyone has or knows where to get good pics for the ESP M-307, I'm still looking for 'em. This site rules!!!! Thanks again everyone, Josh

You could use www.uploadit.org or maybe photobucket.....

You'll have to register but it is free.

everybody is trying to get their hands on them so they don't go for real cheap. Usually the 207 and 307's are on ebay it's just harder finding them w/ a floyd instead of the tune o matic. The neck's feel a lot better on the higher ones I can't stress that enough.

finally some pics!!!

I finally managed to post some pics of my M-307. It's a really nice instrument, the neck-thru is awesome, but beware of the tremolo and the passive EMG-HZ pickups. I changed the HZs with active 707s and now the axe sounds killer. I like the lo-pro edge on my RG7620 much better though because it is of a much higher quality. I've played the M-107 a couple of times and it's a nice guitar but compared to the 3xx series it is way inferior! Just try them both and you'll know what I mean. Hope that helps...

Nice. The only thing i never really liked about the M-307 was the inlay. (and the trem... but that's what the SC-607 is for, right? )

Yea, but the SC-607 has some guys name inlayed so what would you rather have a name that isn't yours or a model number?

Yeah well there's no accounting for taste, right? I personally think that the new SC-607 in sunburst would be perfect without any inlay and an ebony fretboard. I don't like the SRC-inlay either but I think it's still an incredibly awesome guitar.
