Looks to me like an R354. Or something very very similar at least. I bought one a little while ago, that was sanded down into a natural finish.
Its a cracking guitar - I love it at the minute. Mine has got a Super Distortion in the bridge, and two Fastracks in the middle and neck.

I would have said it is an RV model. Because I dont think the R354 was made in that colour, or with that figuring on the body. Someone on here will defenitely be able to tell you - there are a few Radius experts on here from time to time. They are collectors too, so someone on here probably has that exact model!

What is your location Bernd? Is there any sticker on the back of the headstock saying what model it is? Last but not least if you realllllyyyyy want to find out quick just pop the neck off and look for the stamps on the neck pocket and the back of the neck

iam from holland, it's made in Japan. We suppose in '92. I think it's to risky popping the neck off

Yes, the serial number starting with "F2" means it was made in Japan, and most likely in 1992, though that model didn't really appear in the US catalogs until 1993.

Removing the neck isn't really a big deal at all, but if you're not comfortable doing it, then by all means don't. There's little "risk" involved.

There should be a stamp, but if your not comfortable don't. I'm just not sure cause the 93 US catalogue doesn't have a purple version, and thats the only year it was made. I sent Rich a few old Japanese catalogues and one has the same R354 that Gary owns along with a few others so not sure if any of those came in purple. If we could get a scan *hint* that might help

Hey when you look at that photo it looks like maybe the light or camera is making most of the color appear purple, but if you look at the outer edges it looks blue. Very well could be a 93 RV470!

Thats a good point actually, never noticed that in the photo - it does appear blue on the outer edges at a closer look. Its a shame that not alot of information is known on these models - as they are grrrreat!
