Oh, and they don't have the maple binding.

Love it! I think it looks great with the chrome vine! +1 here on vine inlays. I love the vine inlay - always have. In fact it's one of the things that drew me to Ibanez guitars seeing that vine inlay 20+ years ago on Vai's FP Jem. I would have the vine inlay on all of my Ibanez guitars if I could. Right now I have 5 MIJ Ibanez guitars but only my 7vwh has the vine inlay. I am hoping one day I can afford a J Custom with a vine inlay.

Yeah it's awesome. However, I will one day get me another BRMR and have it customized with a Silver/gold/reddish gold disappearing pyramid. Then the Twins will be complete

Re: Does the Vine Inlay spoil contemporary J-Customs for you?

Vine is too much for me and makes the fretboard look cluttered. I'd like MOP sharkies or the outlined sharkies or even block inlays like an LPC. Something different on the JCs would make them stand out a little more and make them look more classy. I don't understand the total lack of any options though.

When did you sell that? I have that exact same orange guitar. I wonder.......

The vines are awesome...whether it's a JEM or J-Custom. I'm like Joe though I get lost sometimes because there not your typical fret marker, but I'll get over it!

2004. Sold it to a guy in Quebec I think. I'm 99% sure I saw it on eBay a couple years ago. It had no strings and was all dusty. It isn't like they made only one of those guitars. You probably have a similar one.

True, it also happens to me at times. The small leaves confuse me when swapping between vine and dotted axes. And they're typically NOT where the dot is supposed to be, but on the next fret
