Re: Doubleneck

They can choke on it for 7 grand, theres a local store that has one that they are sitting on. I like the part where they said they called Ibanez and Ibanez told them they will never make another 6/7 string doubleneck.

NEVER!!

Re: Doubleneck

Don't waste your time on that site. The whole thing is full of crap!
Don't buy into the hype!

Re: Doubleneck

Yeah, I've read some stories about him. I also laughed with the "don't touch the seymour duncans that we put on your Parker, beacause I know better, which is the best pickup height" story that he put on his site some years ago (don't know if it's still there).
Anyway, I just posted for the pic (still looks great) and the outrageous price.

Cheers everybody!!

Re: Doubleneck

Ed Roman hates Ibanez with a passion, but he has no qualms about overcharging for (or in cases, allegedly forging) their instruments...

Yeah, he has a couple of series of guitars that are complete rip-offs of the JS, Jem, and the Reb Beach models.
I used to spend a lot of time on that site until I started noticing inconsistencies in his articles and then read a bunch of reviews on Harmony Central.

EDIT
But back to the topic on hand, that is a nice looking guitar.
I think a 12/6 would be more functional for me, though. I doubt I'm the only one, so it would make sense that they wouldn't make them anymore.

Re: Doubleneck

One of those just sold on somewhere for around $1900 US... I had actually intended to buy it as long as it stayed under 2500 but I missed out due to setting the am/pm on my alarm backwards LOL.

At $7K the seller should be arrested & jailed LOL

Actually I think it's the same one that just sold for 970 GBP (about $1900 US)... & the fact that it's Ed Roman should send up red flags all over the place LOL

$7000?

No kidding. He probably modded it to make it "sound better".
You know. Because it's a crappy, Japanese, machine built guitar.

Re: Doubleneck

Pretty cool guitar, but I would build my own out of particle board and rubber bands before I would buy from that tool.

If the Harmony Central reviews have any weight to them, then your guitar would be better quality anyway.

Cool but......

I would prefer it if it had RG style body,24 frets, nicer neck inlay, aanj, and err......maybe a different colour ( i know, i know....that last ones asking way too much )

Yeah.. I'm suprosed Ed is even selling this guitar since it only has 22 frets which in his opinion makes a guitar suck & incapable of producing any kind of good tone from the neck pickup LOL
