Edge Zero trem block replaced with OFR bigblock / Prestige Rg2610z

I'll be straight forward:

- I don't use the ZPS bar
- I want a normal-shaped/bigger block/brass
- The 3-bolt fixing holes look like the same spacing as an OFR

WILL an OFR block fit the same 3 holes in edge zero baseplate?

Hopefully someone tried! Thanks all

No idea man, but I'm pretty sure they make normal (non-zps) blocks for the EZ/EZII now.

You'd have to ask Rich about a possible part number and price.

Actually I did ask him and he didn't mention it. I'll ask again.

But I was thinking more about a "big brass block" type of thing... I really tried liking the EZ but there is that weird hollowness in the tone and sustain, even the attack is weird and hollow. Thing is I love the guitar, the feel and look is perfect for me, but the way the trem sounds is just slightly off.

Well, Adam Reiver himself told me it wouldn't fit. I wish someone would disprove that.

Rich said they did non-zps blocks on some UV/Jems but not for the regular.

I get why so many people hate that trem now hahaha. Not a bad trem but just not my bag apparently.

I can possibly confirm this. I pulled the block off my ZPS EZII. The mounting holes are WAY too close to each other to mount an ED/LP/EP type of block. Either the trem base would have to be machined or the block. The block would be easier and probably more cost effective.

Alright well, thanks for your insight. I'll think about it some more. The zps brass blocks are $100 and only on preorder, not worth it at all since I don't even care about the zps. I might do a complete overhaul, I know that type of heavy mod isn't reccomended but I know at least 3 guys who got it done and they all said it was worth it for a reason or another.

Mine (EZII non-ZPS 7-string) is rather small, I am looking for ways to increase its inertia, its mass, cause sustain in 20th+ frets is suffering a little bit. Haven't found a single shop in the world that could make me a custom block.

Might be the ZPS thing? Cause mine (non-ZPS) sounds ultra loud, full, heavy and rich. Only problem (and the only point where my single-cut and my neckthrough carvin win) is sustain on the last 4 frets.

This is the block on the non-ZPS EZII-7's:

And this is with the ZPS:

The first one is the one I was hoping the OP could find. My guess is that it would be a direct replacement for the smaller block. To be honest, I need one too....... I need it to finish one of my project guitars.

There used to be some on ebay from some indo sellers, can't find them now tho. I'd like one as well just for some experiemental stuff. IMO most problems on them and the nut (mainly bolts and screws) can be dealt with 10-20 EUR/USD max.

I reckon if you talked with KGC they'd be happy to make something to work. If you can get exact dimensions or are happy to send it off they can probably do it. Hantug Custom Guitars can probably do it too if you talk to them.

Who made the brass block I got from you? was it Hantug? I was just looking at their site.

I would be happy to send an EZII-ZPS block to them. Maybe they could make a fullsize Edge block with the correct mounting holes for the EZ.....
