Re: Edge zero vs. Edge Pro

Edge Zero is a ball of Chinese scrap. Even set to floating, it's not on the same level as the Edge Pro.

Re: Edge zero vs. Edge Pro

I'd say Edge Pro is better, even though Herman Li would disagree with darren lol.

But Edge Pro gets my vote by faer.

Re: Edge zero vs. Edge Pro

No contest. Except for the intonation tool and arm tension adjuster the Edge zero blows.

I have both , an EZ on an RGT320 and an EP on a RG1550. Unfortunately the EZ studs are a different spacing than the EP so an easy swap is out.

His sig Ibanez is about $2000. The same price a J Custom.
Don't think it would be anywhere near as good as a J Custom.
Maybe way overpriced, just like Vai's jems.

Re: Edge zero vs. Edge Pro

Try living in Canada where the MSRP is $4000 (for the egen and more for the jem). Then add taxes. Bastards.

haha try living in Australia then, RRP for both the EGEN and JEM for 2009 is $6295, which would put street price still around the $4800-$5000 mark. Although the chance to pick up old stock at a better price still exists.

Re: Edge zero vs. Edge Pro

Doesn't the EGEN have "special" studs to improve tuning stability on some of Herman's great whammy bar tricks. Im not big on on the Edge pro either, im an lo-pro guy but between the to im taking the pro.

Welcome to the forum.
Sorry for the negatrive comments about the Vai jem. But now having a Vai Jem for a couple of years and now recently just bought 2 J Customs, i can tell you right now, that the J Customs are in a different class. I still like the Jem though. The build quality on 'Flo' would be much better than the stock Jem available to buy.

All hail Mr. Vai........that's if you don't already.
