Wink EJ strat.

Just saw one on his forum.

The guy who purchased it, posted a few pics of of his black Fender Eric Johnson signiture Strat.

I dont know if was the quality of the pictures or did this guy well-used his NEW
guitar.

Lot of fine scratches in the clear it seemed to me.

Anyway, what a beautiful guitar! It's cool.

Re: EJ strat.

They don't look like fine scratches to me, but if they are its probably due to the nitro finish.

Re: EJ strat.

Yeah, Maybe it's the light of the camera as well shining on the nitro finish.
They are very fine "swirl" scratches.

Re: EJ strat.

I just played two last week ar Manny's in NY.(I work in the city)
I played it staight into a Mesa Lonestar and a Marshall 601- and if anything, I've been a STRATaholic for 30 years now and know a thing or 2 about 'em.
To me, the pickups are a little weak. Nitro finish is nice, but normally that's not why people buy Strats. I liked the knob configuration- got one that I basically took out the middle pickup control about 10 years ago. I really liked the neck and the jumbo frets. It's kinda like taking the new "finished" feel neck and wearing it in even more.
I thought they were also a tad heavy, but overall I believe unless your going for a Custom Shop instrument, you can't get a whole lot better than an EJ model.....

Re: EJ strat.

Very cool, Jemaholic. I would of thought the opposite about the pickups.
Since he incorporates the bridge humbucking sound out of his singles.
Manny's huh?
Here in Maine I think they have a few kickin' around in Portland.
I would love to try one out.
Quite a few people from the EJ forum have them.
