Red face EMG´s to my Les Paul !

Hey !

Just bought one other guitar, a J&D Brothers cream white Les Paul ! =)

And I want to have a EMG Zakk Wylde set on it, do I have to make a hole for the battery in the guitar or could I put the battery somewhere else !?

Re: EMG´s to my Les Paul !

it'll fit in the electronics cavity, just wrap it up with foam or something to stop it moving about

Re: EMG´s to my Les Paul !

Like said above, the battery will fit in the cavity, BUT you may have to widen the pickup cavities slightly. EMG's are a little blockier than other pickups that have covers, and depending on tolerances, there may be a really tight fit.

Re: EMG´s to my Les Paul !

The battery will fit fine in the cavity. I've never come across a Les Paul where I couldn't put in a set of EMGs(I got a LP Studio and a '75 LP Custom with a Maple neck here that I just installed EMGs in two days ago). The pickup cavity should accomodate the EMG's fine, but it's reall the pickup rings that you may have to widen. The metal pickup rings on the maple necked LP Custom that I just did had to be replaced as the EMGs wouldn't fit through them (the cavity itself was fine)
