Re: epiphone guitar!

Hi MJ, have you played the epi LPs or do you just want one? If you have a music store you can go to I would suggest trying out a bunch of different guitars in you price range to see which one feels the best in your hands. Once you have a model you like, then start shopping. Lots of times you can pick up like new cheaper guitars on CL from people who just started playing but then quit. hope this helps!
That being said, epi does make some decent beginner guitars. I had an epi Jr special years back that played like butter and had surprisingly nice fretwork. I think I paid 70 bucks

Why does it have to be an Epiphone? Anyone who restricts themselves to one brand is always limiting themselves when picking a first guitar. Try everything in your budget, you find find something even better.

Re: epiphone guitar!

Try an ibanez gio. The rg ibanez shape is so much more ergonomic. But as lone said play lots of guitars.

Re: epiphone guitar!

I played a Squire telecaster custom something something a while back that was killer. 2 P90's, a decent neck - and it sounded pretty darn good. I'd seriously look into a squire classic series if I was starting out
