I own one, its mediocre at best. For a first 7 string I think you would be better off with a 7321, at least that way your not going to have the headache this crappy trem causes, also you would have a thinner neck, better neck joint and better pickups (ok, not by much, but still better!). I'm probably going to be trading mine next week for a Mesa 2:90, along with a few other things.

Let me put it to you this way, I can have any edge equipt guitar go from having the bridge totally off the body to restrung, retuned and staying in tune (sans the overnight string stretch) in 20 min flat, last time I restrung my 207 it took over an hour and a half to get it to proper float and then it still wasn't staying totally in tune, if you do get this, lock the bridge down to hardtail and throw some better pickups in it.

Re: ESP/LTD M-207 7-string

how sad i got this guitar today and then i was fixing the action and half the strings were strung in reverse to the other half and so i was like no problem and started to wind the strings the other way and they were so old they broke around the tuning peg....now i cant play it girlfriend has the car and guitar center is not in walking distance.....feel my pain.

That sucks man, just means it'll be a more fun once you acquire the strings.

Shred it up man!

I love my M-207! Of course i swapped the LFR for an OFR. BIG difference. Then swapped out the bridge pup with a Bareknuckle Miracle Man, and a push/pull. My favorite guitar

I am 100% with you on this. I owned one for well over a year, and it is reason that I have refused to use guitars equipped with a Floyd. I kept telling myself that if I could just find a guitar with a decent trem, I would feel better and be able to sleep at night. I ended up getting a Hellraiser and avoiding the trem altogether.
