ESP LTD M-252 project.

This will be a good, quick thread!

My dear old friend Garrett had this 2002 ESP LTD M-252

Started like this!

Then I sanded off the top (top ONLY!)

I have no picture of this haha

Then i stained the top black!

I have no pictures of this either!

Then I sanded SOME of the black stain off and made it look like this!

Then i stained the fretboard black and put the neck on. This is where I'm at so far!

What do you think so far?

And next step, white D-Activators!

It's not supposed to look nice. It's a metalheads guitar and will be used in a metal band tuned to drop A haha

still better than solid black!

D, That's cool as hell!!!! You should torch it in a couple of spots too then sand to (almost) bare wood the line where the arm contour meets the top of the body....it would give it a "worn to hell" look!!!

I'm SO proud!!!!!

Re: ESP LTD M-252 project.

Great! Took some test dying on a blank piece of wood to be able to get an even coat that WASN'T fully black but after that, it went great! Sunk into the wood but not so deep that you couldn't get rid of it. Real quality stuff.

Not sure how I feel about the negativity going on here. But I love it! I'm sure they would eat it up on MG.org (since ss isn't really an option)

Way to go man!
Ps, and chance for the Swamp ash NGD??

Only possibly on the NGD. It's between that and an rg750. Probably going to pick the custom rg565 but it's good to know my options first. I probably should have thought of that before posting those pics
