Re: ET-Guitars (Experiences)

Norstrom, I have the "Fang" custom, it plays wonderfully. I have also had the pleasure of seeing and playing the "Marble" custom. The pictures don't do it justice, something about swirls makes it near impossible to capture the true nature of them. It looks amazing in the flesh, and sounds even better. I know that particular one has Dimarzio Breeds, which are in my opinion a great sounding pickup. And it plays as well as any Jem

There will always be an unsatisfied customer, do you think Ibanez, have ever had a 100% customer success rate? You won't know until you try, contact him and see how he can help you.

Re: ET-Guitars (Experiences)

That alien inlay is wicked looking. Unfortunately it would be so close to invisible that I think it is a wasted effort.

Re: ET-Guitars (Experiences)

Norstrom, let me have a look at your email, and I will reply tomorrow, it is getting very late here in Aus, about midnight.

This is a strange thread... Just two weeks ago I had one of the biggest highlights in ET Guitars history, maybe never to be topped - Macka's custom got played and signed by the man himself Steve Vai. In fact I found out later, that Steve was so impressed, he wanted to use it for the Perth Australia clinic instead of FloIII, but Macka had it downtuned to Eb.. Dohhh! And today I'm having to justify my quality and fight with an irate customer...wtf?

Ivan, just let it go...

Re: ET-Guitars (Experiences)

Again...all i wanted was an answer as to why and im finding out now.....and to dig yourself deeper, your contradicting yourself!!

Why would you think my 'cryptic' comments are directed to you? Feeling guilty perhaps?

Damn straight i was emotional......abusive no. Threatening..no. Maybe fishing for some sort of explanation or promise of completion...yes.

Its all left a sour taste in my mouth.

Customer satisfaction....google it.

No, 2 people arguing back and forth wasn't what the OP asked for. I don't care who's emails hurt who's feelings, projects being too hard or butt sucking can be handled via PM, or email

Apologies Elcid, you are right. The OP asked specifically about the tone and playability of our Marble series guitar. The other guy kept talking about a failed custom inlay project which is irrelevant to the guys question. Shouldn't have got involved, even if it was only to give my side of the story...

Re: ET-Guitars (Experiences)

I'd like to chime in with a positive review for Ernie and ET Guitars.

Check out my build thread here.

Ernie did a great job helping me and advising on this project before I'd even paid him a single cent and then was even more than happy to help with out with my intonation problem which turned out to be a simple rookie mistake on my behalf. He even let me fix it right there on the counter of his shop helping me out for an hour because he wanted to make sure it was right before I left even though I only live about an hour drive away.

It did take him 8 months to swirl my body and neck for me but I told him to take his time as I was in no rush, I do have 9 other guitars I can play.

Once again I can't recommend Ernie enough. Great srvice, great swirl and a great guy.

Thanks again Ernie.

Cheers, Jas.

Re: ET-Guitars (Experiences)

I'll stand up for the minority, which Ernie doesn't have the professionalism and decency to deal with. Failed project because of his lack of honesty in coming forward with his abilities.
I know I'm not the only one.

Good day to you all
