Etherial guitars?

They look like they have a pretty sick creative design team. I'm considering getting a 9 or 10 custom project done... Something similar to this.

What are your opinions on fan frets?

No opinion on fan frets but anything over 7strings seems ridiculous to me

It's a novelty thing to me. I have so many guitars, I want something different and unusual. Plus, I imagine I could write some very cool things with it

Re: Etherial guitars?

Damn I want a 7 strings.
It looks angry, very creative and different.
Fan frets make guitars sound in tune(different than ordinary straight frets) so I want them too.
9/10 strings?!
Bryan where are your 6/7 songs?

My 6 string songs are mainly acoustic (and very few in number) written in a similar style of donn Ross... My 7 string songs are also very few, more actually just licks and riffs that sound great...

I have more half finished songs than I know what to do with. And without proper recording equipment, I'm struggling with doing anything creative. I will be looking into getting recording equipment soon though, and that will help.

But, I need inspiration. I want something I've never seen/played/heard before. And that is essentially the definition of said guitar. Tosin abasi of animals as leaders is phenomenal, playing 7 and 8 strings. I'd like to do similar things.

Ill post a video of me playing a Gilbert song (half of one anyways, I'm still working on it) sometime soon so you can assess my talent. :P

But playing another guitarist song is not talent, it's repetiton.
Inspiration comes from love for music, life, people whatever and not from buying toys.
I hope someday you'll find your inspiration in the right place and share cool music

Re: Etherial guitars?

That's why I'd like something new. I feel it will inspire me to try new things. I'm very confident in that fact...and when it does ill let you judge what I've done, deal?

Re: Etherial guitars?

Buy a 10 string and save money by not paying a bass player. Awesome! Seriously though, 10 strings is a bit much.

Really? That's a shame. I asked him for a quote a bit ago. Any ideas on how I could acquire a guitar similar to the one pictured ie fan fretted 10 string with a cool, unique body.

Re: Etherial guitars?

No clue about where to get an uber erg. Maybe try tom drinkwater at the oakland axe factory.

I'm checking him out right now, seems like they make decent guitars. What are the prices for that sort of thing?
