Sure, man. That's Micheal Angelo and his 4 neck axe, it's been on MTV and he's a monster on that thing, though more 80's than Pepsi-free.

yeah michaelangelo is probably one of the fastest players alive, but his tone blows chunks. then again you probably have to have a nice soft tone to do legato like that on two necks at once.

String dampeners to keep things from ringin out while doing pull offs and crap all over the neck. Download some michaelangelo stuff off kazaa. Or better yet order some stuff from him. hes actual got several of his guitars for sale through his website I cant remember the link though just search with google.

They were called "Clean Axe", or Kleen-Axe...something like that. Jennifer Batten used them as well.

Right up there with Ax-Sac. :-)

Yea, Michael "Angelo" Batio is one fast mofo. And check out the 7-strings on top of that badboy! He still uses his "double guitar" (2 mirror-image guitars connected together) and he has gotten better at composition over the years. Check out Lucid Intervals and Moments of Clarity -- really good composition on that, with some faster-than-light passages thrown in now an then for good measure.

I think you can get his double guitar through Tradition guitars (based on his Washburn). It helps if you are ambidextrous, though.

If you look on that top neck, closest to the camera, the strings are on the neck but not the headstock. Does he have like a Steinberger thing going there?

Neo capo thing attached to his nut...unless you have some funky definition of neo, or think I am referring to nut as his testicles, it wasn't meant to be personal....

I dont know. If he has a steinberger trem on that one neck I cant tell, but all the others are floyds so he would need the strings. You can get his personal guitars off his website. For cheap even. Why worry about buying a knockoff with no collector value? Anyhoo this looks like an ad shot so the closest headstock may have been done up to show the logo on the guitar

I mean a cool gimmick is great and all, but DOES IT REALLY need 4 floyd's

Just imagine how long changing strings and tuning it would take :P

Just being stupid... it would have been funnier if you had said "attached to his nuts"

If you ever get a chance to check this guy out... do it. He did a clinic at GC here in New Orleans last year. he is increadibly fast. The funny thing is after he finished every kid in the place was on a cheap guitar trying to show off how fast they could play . (I don't see how GC employees stand it)
Angelo had an instructional tape out in the 80's that was cool... he highlighed his band at the time (Nitro? I think was the name), but the music was pretty tastless. The singer's claim to fame was he could shatter glass with his voice.
Very few people know that Michael made the majority of his income during the 80's from writing Jingles for places like McDonald's.
