Arrow Extended Scale Guitars -- Help

Well hello.

I am looking for an extended scale guitar (i.e: 26.5"-27"; 6 or 7 string)

I was looking at the Agile 627 & 727 models, but they use a 1 5/8" & 1 7/8" nut widths, and that will be too narrow for my sausage fingers

Throw me some models, regardless of brand, that have extended scale lengths (preferably 6 strings).

I know of the:

-Ibanez RGD320 (quality?)
-Ibanez RGD2120Z (price )
-LTD VB-400
-LTD MHB-400

Re: Extended Scale Guitars -- Help

I think you see the obvious ones, but Schecter makes a few, I don't remember exact names, but the baritone moniker is what they are labeling them.

Music Man has two baritones if you want a higher end one. The John Petrucci BFR Baritone is an extended scale (baritone) 6 string guitar that has a trem and peizos, along with standard electronics. That is about as high end as I have seen, and they are harder to find.

Re: Extended Scale Guitars -- Help

EBMM JPM baritone, but of course the price is going to get you there.

there's also the Schecter Hellcat, but that's 30"(same as some basses)

EDIT: Ibanez had a Japan-only run of 27" scale RG's a while ago, I believe it's called the RG-X series, but I'm not sure.(I've been GASsing for one since I heard of them)

RE-EDIT: Nevermind, the specific model name was the RG1077XL, and it's a 7-string(still 27", though).

RE-RE-EDIT: the 6 string version of the RG1077XL is the RG970XL, and they're both prestige models. I saw an RG970XL with mods and 3 scratches/bumps going for $1000 shipped on SS.org, so I'd assume a stock one in mint condition would go for $1600, and possibly a bit more for the 7.

ALSO:PRS's Mike Mushok Signature model(Or you can find a used one of his old Ibanez sig), both are 28"

Re: Extended Scale Guitars -- Help

the 1077XL [Lo-Pro] and 2077XL [Edge Pro] are 27" 7 strings while the 970XL is a 27" 6 string.
the latter is 'harder' to find but they're around...
