Extremely Late NGD! The Elusive RG570DXFA w/MODS!

Sooooo, I've had this guitar for quite sometime. Purchased sometime around August off a young chap from Sevenstring.org. After receiving it I noticed it the 5 way switch wouldn't work correctly for the Neck pickup. After much debated I decided to go full out crazy with it and throw all my green related parts from my project 550 in this guitar. Originally started out with a Tonezone, HS-2, PAF Pro set BUT decided against them and finally bought a Airzone/Super 3 combo and a Area 58 for some straty cleans.

Below is the pictures (if the links work!)

Overall, the guitar is in immaculate condition for an '89, let alone the fact I've only seen a handful of these. No scratches or chips, just two dents in the top. The neck plate is still the original black with minor wear on the paint. The neck is way nice and I believe to be a bit thinner than my 550.

Now all I need is a 565, something in SK, and a 550RFR which will make my personal collestion complete! haha

Happy New Years guys!!!!!!

NICE score Chewy!!!!!! Now I know why you were getting rid of the 750.........you were gearing up for this badboy!!!!!!!!

That thing looks brand new. I LOVE the flame on the headstock!!!

Thanks Ryc!!!

It's odd that the headstock of the neck is only flamed. I've also never seen a grain pattern like that on a neck lol.

I can't wait to see what you do with the 750!

That's what quartersawn maple looks like.........nice wavy grain in every direction......I think it looks great.

The 750 is going to be a long time to finish, but I promise you'll be glad you sold it to me when it's done.

very cool guitar - I like the green contrast - gives it a unique look...and the neon colours are great! good choice on the pups - I have an Airzone & area 58 in my 2550 (with a 36th anniv paf in the neck) and they are great pups...

thanks much! The green was more so an experiment. I would have went with orange but unfortunately its not a color option with Dimarzio.

Previously I put in completely green pups but I didn't wanna lose the black in the color scheme.

Wait til you guys see my next NGD
